The hotel was a fine base for enjoying an outstanding area, short walk to dal lake and lal chowk and shops, food and a pharmacy and a local taxi. We spent 1 night in standard double room.

Hotel Samar is a nice budget hotel with very friendly staff. The large room and fairly clean bathroom were great. There's a good variety at breakfast. The hotel has the best possible location in the market but also close to tourist spots, making it easy to get around. It's close to Dal Lake and Lal Chowk, making it a nice place to stay in Srinagar.

We had a great time staying at this hotel. Best aspects include clean rooms, helpful and polite staff, and a convenient location in the heart of the market area and close to tourist spots. The hotel also had good facilities and provided transportation, which made our stay even better.

The hotel provided clean and comfortable rooms, with a prime location by the main market area and proximity to a popular lake. The staff was polite and helpful during our three-night stay. We particularly appreciated the budget-friendly prices and the vegetarian food options available at the hotel restaurant.

There was no room service for food and the food service at the restaurant was quite slow. we were disappointed to find that there was no heating or blower in the room during winter, which had to be rented for an extra fee.

The hotel offered two complementary facts that were nice, and the location was key as it was near many shops and restaurants. One more advantage that I enjoyed was that the bed was comfortable and I got full control over the heater.

The unreliable wifi, and the bathroom could have been cleaner. I also encountered strange behavior from some of the people in the market which made me feel uncomfortable at times.

We had a fantastic stay at Samar! The location was excellent, with the presence of the army making us feel safe throughout our visit. The hot water was available 24/7, and the entire property smelled wonderful and was spotlessly clean. We were grateful for the attached vegetarian eatery, which provided delicious meals all day long. The staff, especially Waseem bhaiya, went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met and even arranged transportation for our sightseeing. The owner was a true gentleman, and the service exceeded our expectations. we highly recommend this hotel for a memorable stay.
